SMS Terms

Last updated: April 27, 2026

These SMS Terms govern text messages sent through Tendwaby independent shops (“Senders”) to their customers (“Recipients”). By using Tendwa’s SMS features, Senders agree to these Terms; Recipients are bound by them when opting in.

1. Program description

Tendwa provides transactional SMS messaging on behalf of independent automotive service shops. Typical messages include appointment confirmations, vehicle ready-for-pickup notifications, service status updates, and payment receipts.

2. Consent

Recipients are opted in only after providing their mobile number to a Sender and affirmatively agreeing to receive service-related SMS. Opt-in is logged with timestamp, IP address (where available), and the exact wording shown to the Recipient.

3. Message types

SMS sent through Tendwa are transactional only. Senders may not use Tendwa to send unsolicited marketing or promotional content via SMS. Marketing requires a separately consented channel.

4. Message frequency

Frequency varies by service. A typical visit results in 1–4 messages (confirmation, reminder, ready notice, follow-up).

5. How to opt out

6. Help

Reply HELP to any message for support information, or contact the Sender directly.

7. Carriers and pricing

Message and data rates may apply, depending on the Recipient’s mobile plan and carrier. Tendwadoes not charge Recipients for SMS. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and other major US carriers.

8. Compliance

Our SMS practices follow:

Senders must not use Tendwa’s SMS features to send any prohibited content (SHAFT — sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco — marketing, unlawful content, third-party debt collection without consent, etc.).

9. Data sharing

Mobile numbers and SMS consent records are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes. Numbers are shared only with the SMS service provider used to deliver messages, per our Data Processing Agreement.

These Terms may be updated. Material changes will be notified to Senders via email or in-product notice. Continued use of SMS features constitutes acceptance.
