Payment Policy

This Payment Policy describes how billing works for Tendwasubscriptions and for customer payments processed through the platform. It complements our Terms of Service.

1. Subscription billing

  • Tendwa subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, per location.
  • Pricing for the Tendwa plan is $199 per location, per month, plus applicable taxes.
  • Enterprise pricing is set by individual contract.
  • Trials, where offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.

2. Payment methods

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover, processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; only a tokenised reference and the last four digits are retained.

3. Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge over the next seven days and notify you by email. If payment is not collected within 14 days, the account may be suspended until billing is restored. Account data is retained for 30 days after suspension before deletion.

4. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by law or explicitly offered (e.g., during the first 14 days of a paid plan as a goodwill measure). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not prorate partial periods.

5. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback against a Tendwa subscription, the account may be suspended pending investigation. We reserve the right to recover any chargeback fees and amounts owing. Please contact us first — most billing disputes can be resolved without involving the card network.

6. Taxes

Subscription prices are exclusive of taxes (sales tax, VAT, GST) unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any taxes assessed by your jurisdiction. Where required, we will collect and remit the applicable tax based on your billing address.

7. Customer payments processed via Stripe Connect

When a Customer (the shop) accepts payments from its own customers via Stripe Connect, those funds flow directly to the Customer’s connected Stripe account. Tendwa does not hold funds on behalf of the Customer or its end customers.

  • Stripe’s standard processing fees apply (per Stripe’s pricing).
  • Refunds to end customers are issued by the shop directly.
  • Disputes (chargebacks) between end customers and shops are handled by Stripe per its terms.

8. Currency

Subscription billing and customer payments are processed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

9. Invoices and receipts

Subscription receipts are emailed automatically and available in your billing portal. Customer-issued invoices and receipts (i.e., invoices a shop sends to its customers) are generated and stored byTendwaon the shop’s behalf.

10. Price changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ written notice for active subscriptions. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
